ABOUT
Fjäder Gear makes ultralight bags in Gothenburg, Sweden.
Every bag is cut and sewn by hand — one at a time, no factory, no mass production. The materials are chosen for performance, not appearance: Ecopak EPX 200, Ultra 200X, premium buckles, YKK. Fabrics used in technical mountaineering and ultralight backpacking, applied to everyday carry.
The design philosophy is simple. A bag should do exactly what it needs to do and nothing more. No padding where padding isn't needed. No pockets that exist to justify a higher price point. No branding beyond a small woven label.
Fjäder is Swedish for feather. The name is about weight — or the absence of it.
